I play in a traveling league and we play here a few times a year . Everyone raves about the course and asks why arent we playing here more. When we played yesterday, September 23, 2023, the course was in phenomenal condition! The greens were hard fast and true. You can't ask for anything more!
I highly recommend you try this course
Very nice course! The fairways and greens were in excellent condition! The layout is fantastic! This is a course I'll make a point to play several times each year!
Played at Ellsworth Meadows on 8/6/23. Very pleased with the layout and the great shape of the course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. Too bad the golfers do not do a better job replacing/filling divots and fixing ballmarks, the course would then be in pristine shape. Would also ask maintenance or whomever to make sure the sand bottles on the carts are filled, both on our cart were empty. Clubhouse is accommodating and greens fees and merchandise are very well priced. About $65 on a Sunday late morning for green fee, electric cart and medium bucket of balls. Snack bar had the basics. Signage on the course is excellent. Person driving the snack cart was very friendly and came by at least 4 times during our round. Pace of play was 2+10 on the front nine but 2+30 on the back nine. That seems long to me, visiting from Colorado, where 4 hours is standard. No course marshals were seen. All in all a very nice visit and the pro shop staff were very accommodating. I would definitely come back.
Great course and very well maintained but play is always slow and aggravating. Staff is excellent. If they can get the pace moving a little better then it would be a 5 star review but until then they are a 3. Course is over scheduled and play is always a crawl. Plan on almost 3 hrs to play 9 holes.
Would love to give 5 stars but the imbeciles that are too stupid to replace their divots and fix their ball marks prevent me from doing so. The course is in beautiful shape otherwise. Somehow some way I think course management has to find a way to get players to do their part
Formerly Big Springs, the course is improved with a nearly redone back nine. The course is really nice just to look at and plays tough. Well worth at least a round a year.
One of the best-maintained courses I've played in the Akron area. Competitive rates. Best practice facility I've seen at a public course, with multiple practice greens, a practice bunker, and a practice pitch shot green (<50 yards).
One the nicest municipal courses in Northeast Ohio. We played after substantial rain the previous day and the course was still emaculate. The city of Hudson should be proud of this gem. One footnote.... I hope the geese don't get out of control.
